Mushrooms in White Wine Sauce
250 grams Majestic Mushrooms Cremini or White Button mushrooms, quartered
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Fresh thyme, dried will also do
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup dry white wine
¾ cup vegetable stock
½ cup cream or coconut cream
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms until browned.
Stir in the garlic, nutmeg, thyme and season with salt and pepper.
Add the all purpose flour and stir for 2-3 minutes.
Deglaze the pan with the white wine and let it reduce in half.
Stir in the vegetable stock and allow the sauce to reduce and thicken.
Finish with the addition of the cream or coconut cream.
Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
Serve over some grilled chicken or a juicy steak
